Sinks Canyon State Park

We got up early today, out to breakfast and off on our adventure.
We started out on the Reservation Loop Drive. The first stop was the Trading Post in Fort Washakie, WY, they had some amazing stuff there but too much was from China, Mexico & Oregon, I don't think any place we've visited understands that we would like to buy something from the place we are visiting, not China!
We drove over to Chief Washakie's Grave and Sacajawea's Grave. We thought it appropriate to not take any pictures. Those of you unsure of who Chief Washakie is... He was chief of the Shashone Indians and he fought the Chief of the Crow Indians one on one so his people would not have to die in battle. He won and the Crow Indians moved on to Montana and the Shashone kept their land in Wyoming, which by the way in the largest county in the US.

We saw a pronghorn sheep on our drive to Ethete.
Then we drove to Sinks Canyon State Park.

When we got to the top of Sinks Canyon the road changed from paved to gravel that left us 19 miles of 4 wheeling down the other side to RT28

Can you see the snow in the mountains?
On the way back we took a long senic route back that was made substantially longer by me missing the turn that made us backtrack 21 miles. Keep in mind that the road we were on for 60 miles only had one turn on the whole road and we missed it. Once we were back on track we found this dried streambed, all the other streams we have seen were close to going over their banks, this one however was slightly dry
